How our rating system works

We would like to clarify that our rating system does not refer to the playing standard of a player, it refers to a player’s ability to win matches. The system is designed to be a platform where you play for prizes and privileges, but it also gives players an opportunity to hone their match play temperament which leads to improved performance at TSA sanctioned tournaments and other official ranking events or schools’ events.

The platform ranks players from beginner, intermediate, advanced up to elite. Each level requires a player to earn 5 stars to get promoted to the next level. To earn a star, you must complete a rating cycle. A rating cycle is 5 matches where a player must win 3 out of the 5 matches to earn a star. If a player wins 2 or less out of the 5 matches, they forfeit a star, and a new rating cycle begins

The first time you enter the system we will ask you a few questions to get an idea about your perceived playing ability. Let’s say you are rated as an advanced player after answering the perceived ability questionnaire, your first rating cycle will determine whether you earn your first star as an advanced player, or you move to intermediate zero stars and work your way up from there. If you have questions about our rating system, send us a what’s app and we will help you to take full advantage of the platform.
